Responsible for the academic advising department, its processes and advisors. Assists Dean or Associate Dean to prepare and implement department wide goals, procedures and controls. Works closely with academic advisors to ensure that a proactive and quality approach is taken with all students advising needs. Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. May require a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
