Job Description for Actuary III

Conducts analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes. Applies knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculations in life, health, social, and casualty insurance, annuities, and pensions. Develops probability tables regarding fire, natural disasters, death, unemployment, etc. based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, and 4-6 years of experience. Incumbents typically have achieved an Associate, Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
