Oversees the in-patient/out-patient functions, bed assignments, and completion of preliminary paperwork for entering patients. Works with medical, nursing, and accounting staff to ensure appropriate patient placement. Confirms that all insurance benefits coverage meets standards of admission as dictated by policy. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
