Job Description for Archivist - Higher Ed.

Responsible for managing a college or university's asset collection by acquiring, processing, and archiving digital resources. Establishes records for archiving and retrieving resources by following appropriate standards and guidelines. Assists individuals in accessing the digital asset collection. Requires a master's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
