Job Description for Athletic Trainer Assistant - Higher Ed. New Search   
Provides physical therapy and aids in the care and rehabilitation of student athletes. Attends athletic events to provide trainer care if necessary. Offers advice on preventing injuries and co-teaches athletic training classes. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, an Athletic Trainer certification, and 2-4 years of experience in the field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to the Head Athletic Trainer.
