Job Description for Budget Manager

Directs and coordinates budgeting activities including budget formulation, monitoring, and presentation. Directs compilation of data used to prepare budgets and to justify fund requests. Coordinates appropriations for divisional and specific programs while balancing the need for emergency funds. Reviews operating budgets periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs. Requires a bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
