Oversees computer-assisted tomography and the maintenance of department supplies, equipment, and facilities to ensure the quality of services. Introduces and teaches new techniques to staff. Maintains environmental, infection control, and safety procedures for the department. Typically requires a high school diploma, completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration, and at least 5 years of experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a director.
