Establishes and directs the strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures for an information technology department. Determines an organization's long-term systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the organization's business objectives. May require an advanced degree in a related area with at least 10 years of experience in the information technology field. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
