Job Description for Client/Server Architect

Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of client/server systems. Analyzes client/server requirements to ensure the system meets performance needs. Recommends technology purchases that will support and enhance the client/server system. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
