Job Description for Dean of Nursing

Administrative head of the university's nursing program. Responsibilities include developing the curriculum, staffing the department, reviewing faculty performance, and creating an atmosphere conducive to scholarly pursuits. Ensures that the organization's curriculum meets all applicable regulatory or accreditation standards. Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience in the field. Requires certification as a registered nurse. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
