Manages daily activities of a centralized distribution center. Monitors inventory levels to manage expenses, minimize loss, and maximize revenue. Ensures that goods are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities. May be responsible for evaluating freight services, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with chosen vendors. May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.
