Job Description for Facilities Manager New Search   
Ensures optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and elevators. May manage a staff of employees in the maintenance of buildings and grounds. May oversee contractors for facility renovation project. May require a bachelors degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.
