Job Description for File Clerk, Sr.

Performs routine clerical duties, such as maintaining letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed records arranged in a file according to an established system. Retrieves data or correspondence from files as requested within an appropriate time frame. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.
