Job Description for Head of Anesthesiology New Search   
Responsible for the efficient operation of anesthesia services. Develops, implements, and maintains anesthesia procedures and practices. Works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Manages a staff of anesthesia technicians and nurses. Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
