Loss Control Manager manages and develops loss control programs and administers risk management programs related to operating risk, insurance, and any class of financial risk. Researches and reports on cost effective plans to minimize loss. Being a Loss Control Manager contributes to business plans and objectives. Ensures compliance with all regulations and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations which pertain to loss control. Additionally, Loss Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Loss Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Loss Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
