Job Description for Industrial Engineering Manager

Plans and directs all aspects of industrial engineering activities within an organization, including layout of equipment, office, and production facilities. Conducts studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Generally manages a group of industrial engineers. Typically reports to an executive or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
