Job Description for Automotive Mechanic IIINew Search
Performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles. Responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembling parts, components and engines. Performs all duties according to safety procedures. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
