Directs and oversees all policies and procedures for finance and accounting functions for managed care contracts. Responsible for implementing all accounting principals and ensuring that proper financial systems are in place. Manages contracts, sets rates, and reviews reimbursement levels and managed care agreements to ensure that proper payment practices are utilized. Evaluates current procedures and identifies areas in need of improvement. Ensures that all regulatory or accounting principles are adhered to. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to top management.
