Job Description for Meeting/Event Director

Directs the daily operations of the Meeting/Events department. Oversees strategy and planning of meetings and special events for an organization. Coordinates all amenities and accommodations at the event. Monitors and controls event budgets and negotiates all necessary contracts. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
