Job Description for Mine Foreman New Search   
Supervises a staff who prepares, inspects, and works in mining projects such as underground or surface mining. Ensures the staff performs project research, design calculations, and records accuracy of mining activities. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. May require certification by the MSHA. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Leads and directs the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
