Job Description for Enterprise Infrastructure Director

Enterprise Infrastructure Director directs and oversees the enterprise infrastructure of an organization. Schedules and develops plans to consider current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Director oversees the design and implementation of information systems that support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Develops the policies and procedures utilized in the design and maintenance of an organization's enterprise infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Director utilizes performance reports to continuously monitor the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Enterprise Infrastructure Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
