Responsible for assisting the director of athletics with the daily operation of the athletic department and coordinating various administrative functions within the department. Assists the director of athletics in scheduling use of facilities, transportation and sporting events. May help in fundraising, public relations, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Requires a bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.
