Oversees the collection and analysis of data to evaluate operational difficulties and make recommendations to solve problems. Creates modeling and evaluation processes to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities and to determine problem areas and develop solutions. Identifies inefficiencies and possible solutions to correct inefficiencies. Acts as advisor to operations research team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager.
