Job Description for Produce Manager

Oversees operations and staffing for the produce department within a grocery store. Ensures quality and freshness of all produce, suggests changes to inventory and pricing, and purchases supplies when needed. Monitors quality of goods and service. Responsible for department staff training, assignments, and scheduling. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
