Job Description for Project Controls Manager

Manages and oversees project controls for engineering and construction projects. Responsible for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring, and quality review. Manages project controls personnel. Establishes operating policies to mitigate risk. Provides guidance and consultation for project managers. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 10 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
