Job Description for Shipping Operations Manager

Manages the daily activities of shipping functions in a distribution center. Implements procedures to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. Ensures shipments are delivered in a timely manner. Maintains relationships with carrier vendors and consistently resolves customer issues. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or its equivalent with 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
