Directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for the social services department by providing counseling pertaining to illness, hospitalization, and financial concerns and facilitates post-discharge planning. Plans and maintains social service programs in accordance with policies and accepted social work practice. May supervise other managers or supervisors and their MSW and BSW qualified social workers.
