Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Identifies need for tests or follow-up visits. Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. May require at least 2-4 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
