Job Description for Technical Writing Supervisor I

Supervises the daily activities of technical writers who produce articles, reports, brochures and manuals. Ensures standard documentation methods are followed by staff. Provides guidance on documenting complex technical information. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
