Job Description for Telecommunications Technician II

Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains telecommunications equipment. Provides reports, completes requests for new service, and determines methodology for installing telephone service. Determines appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications including call switches, test trunks and test links, and installs communication circuits. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
