Plans and directs all aspects of an organization's materials management policies, objectives, and initiatives. Responsible for purchase of raw materials, supplies, and equipment. Directs warehousing and distribution channels and ensures material needs are met throughout the product creation process. Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 15 years of experience in the field. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
