Job Description for Toxicologist

Develops and coordinates regulatory programs for consumer products. Conducts research on toxic effects of consumer products and ingredients on laboratory animals for manufacturers of consumer products. May require a Ph.D in toxicology or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project manager or director.
