Job Description for Traffic Clerk, Sr. New Search   
Responsible for providing administrative support to the traffic function for an organization. Responsible for all aspects of logging orders, routing, shipping, and tracking of outbound orders. Informs transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Prepares and verifies bills of lading. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
