Designs and establishes the overall product features. Establishes processes for management of product requirements throughout their lifecycle. Establishes processes for product release. Develops business plan for products. Typically works on cross-functional team to translate customer needs and technology directions into product definitions. Requires an advanced degree and 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a senior product manager or a director. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
