Job Description for Massage Therapist New Search   
Performs massage therapy techniques to control pain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation for clients in a healthcare facility. Obtains a client's basic medical history, assesses their problems and conditions, and suggests appropriate massage techniques based on their current health. May require a high school diploma or equivalent and requires certification as a massage therapist. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager.
