Job Description

EHR Application Analyst plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's EHR application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst may be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty, Epic/Cerner or similar certification. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an EHR Application Analyst typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
