Transforms complex rough product designs into working documents using computer aided design (CAD). Reviews engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. May supervise and guide lower-level CAD drafters. May require an associates degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
