Job Description

Plans, governs, coordinates and evaluates in-service orientation and continuing education programs for professional nursing personnel. Creates schedules and conducts training programs for staff development, and offers instruction in improved methods of nursing service and procedures. Evaluates program results and makes any necessary changes. Requires a bachelor's degree of nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification as a registered nurse (RN). Years of experience may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
