Job Description

Manages and mentors a team of content writers that write, edit, proofread, and copyedit content for various channels including online platforms and print publications. Organizes and maintains a schedule of deliverables and ensure all deadlines are met. Develops ideas for compelling content that adhere to required branding and style guidelines. Ensures that search engine optimization best practices are applied to maximize web search results. Reviews and edits final products to add value and improve presentation. Collaborates with stakeholders and cross functional teams. Requires a bachelor's degree in english, communication, journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
