Job Description

Certified Nurse Midwife provides professional care for patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs. Assists patients in labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care. Being a Certified Nurse Midwife ensures safety and health of mother and child and identifies need for additional care. Works in conjunction with a practicing physician. Additionally, Certified Nurse Midwife requires a bachelors degree. Must be a Registered Nurse, and certified as Nurse Midwife. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
