Works to expand understanding of the organization's business, performance, and strategy. Being a Media Relations Manager prepares summaries of media activity for senior management. May serve as the company's spokesperson. Additionally, Media Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Media Relations Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
