Decides on appropriate premium rates and issues coverage. Being an Underwriter (P/C) II provides customer services regarding underwriting processes and decisions. May communicate with field agents to gather additional information or to explain underwriting decisions. Additionally, Underwriter (P/C) II typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Underwriter (P/C) II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
