Job Description

The Employee Benefit Programs Supervisor implements benefits communications to inform and counsel employees on programs relevent to them. Supervises a staff of benefits analysts who research, analyze, evaluate, design, and administer corporate benefit plans/programs. Being an Employee Benefit Programs Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Reports to management about improvements to be made to current employee benefits programs. In addition, Employee Benefit Programs Supervisor may Require a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Employee Benefit Programs Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as an Employee Benefit Programs Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
