The Land Surveyor, Lead performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Being a Land Surveyor, Lead may have to complete an apprenticeship, and/or formal training in area of specialty. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. In addition, Land Surveyor, Lead typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Working as a Land Surveyor, Lead typically requires 5-7 years of related experience. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors.
