Job Description

The Director of Information Vulnerability and Risk Mitigation develops and implements information security and disaster recovery programs in accordance with organizational information security standards. Establishes and administers the overall strategies and procedures for the information security function. Being a Director of Information Vulnerability and Risk Mitigation requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Evaluates information risk on a regular time schedule and promotes information security awareness within the organization. In addition, Director of Information Vulnerability and Risk Mitigation typically reports to top management. The Director of Information Vulnerability and Risk Mitigation manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
