Job Description

The Production Assembler I tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Assembles fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. Being a Production Assembler I identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. In addition, Production Assembler I may be required to complete an apprenticeship or on the job training. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Production Assembler I possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
