The Field Customer Support Manager oversees the scheduling and training of field service representatives. Manages the field service personnel who perform on-site routine services including installation, maintenance, and repair. Being a Field Customer Support Manager develops methods, guidelines, and policies to facilitate efficient service delivery. Handles service contracts and directs support services. In addition, Field Customer Support Manager ensure all customer issues are satisfactorily resolved utilizing engineering, manufacturing, and other teams as needed. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Field Customer Support Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
