Job Description

Responsible for the maintenance, calibration, repair, and cleaning of dialysis equipment. Utilizes established protocols to conduct daily and scheduled water sampling and testing for each unit. Performs equipment maintenance and repair according to the manufacturer guidelines and AAMI standards.Conducts quality assurance procedures and sanitization. Documents and logs activities and repairs. Stocks, inventories, and reorders supplies. Supports clinical staff with technical assistance as needed. Requires an associate degree or equivalent. May require a Certificate in Dialysis Technology from the dialysis equipment manufacturer. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
