Job Description

The Flight Inspection Lead oversees part installation and inspects adjustments or modifications to existing parts. Inspects aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure safe flying and conformance to specifications and government regulations and procedures. Being a Flight Inspection Lead requires a high school degree, a flight inspector license. Performs preflight and post flight inspections identifying any breach of standards for safe flight. In addition, Flight Inspection Lead typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Flight Inspection Lead typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
