The Director of Grants and Proposals identifies new donor bases, directs and coordinates solicitation of funds. Develops fundraising strategies, formulates solicitation procedures, and oversees all fundraising activities. Being a Director of Grants and Proposals leads grant-writing efforts. Acts as liaison with funding partners and organizations. In addition, Director of Grants and Proposals sets funding goals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
